Ctrl Deck is a software application published by COM'BOX.
This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled when using Ctrl Deck, downloading the application from COM'BOX websites, contacting support, or installing the application through Microsoft Store.
1. Data collected by the Ctrl Deck application
Ctrl Deck does not collect personal data through the application itself.
The application does not include advertising tracking, behavioral analytics, telemetry profiling, or resale of user data.
Ctrl Deck does not send the user's shortcuts, Workspaces, files, folders, URLs, or personal work organization to COM'BOX servers.
2. Local data stored on the user's device
Ctrl Deck may store local information on the user's computer that is necessary for the application to work properly, including:
- shortcuts created by the user;
- Workspaces configured by the user;
- display and application preferences;
- local trial or license status information;
- local configuration files required for normal operation.
This data remains stored locally on the user's device, unless the user chooses to share it voluntarily, for example when contacting support.
3. Microsoft Store purchases, installation and licensing
If Ctrl Deck is downloaded, installed, purchased, or licensed through Microsoft Store, Microsoft may process information related to the user's Microsoft account, purchase, installation, device, license, payment, refund, or Store usage according to Microsoft's own terms and privacy policies.
COM'BOX does not receive complete payment card information such as full credit card numbers.
Microsoft Store remains responsible for the data it processes as part of Store purchases, licensing, installation, updates, and payment operations.
4. Direct downloads from COM'BOX websites
When Ctrl Deck is downloaded directly from a COM'BOX website, COM'BOX may process limited technical information to measure download activity, prevent abuse, diagnose technical issues, and understand which download links are used.
This may include:
- date and time of the download request;
- requested download file;
- referring page or website when available;
- UTM campaign parameters when present;
- approximate country or region provided by Cloudflare when available;
- hashed technical identifiers, such as hashed IP address and hashed user-agent;
- download route status, such as redirected or failed.
COM'BOX does not store raw IP addresses for this download tracking when hashing is technically available.
This technical download tracking is used only to understand download activity, improve the distribution of Ctrl Deck, troubleshoot issues, and distinguish real download activity from bots, broken links, or automated scans.
5. Website analytics
COM'BOX websites may use analytics tools, including Google Analytics, to understand general website traffic, page views, download clicks, and campaign performance.
Analytics data is used in an aggregated or technical manner to improve the website, product pages, and download experience.
COM'BOX does not use this analytics data to sell personal data.
6. Update information
Ctrl Deck may check a public COM'BOX update file to determine whether a newer version is available.
This update check is intended only to inform the user that a new version exists. It does not silently install updates, does not automatically execute installers, and does not transmit the user's shortcuts, Workspaces, files, folders, or personal configuration to COM'BOX.
7. User support
If a user contacts COM'BOX by email or through a contact form, the information voluntarily provided by the user may be used only to respond to the request, provide support, investigate a technical issue, or follow up on the user's inquiry.
This may include:
- name or company name if provided;
- email address;
- message content;
- optional screenshots, logs, or technical details voluntarily sent by the user.
Users should avoid sending passwords, confidential documents, payment card details, or sensitive personal information when contacting support.

COM'BOX offers a voluntary form to collect ideas, suggestions, reviews or other product feedback about Ctrl Deck. This form does not replace technical support.
Messages are reviewed privately by COM'BOX. No feedback is displayed publicly automatically. A public testimonial is only possible after selection, moderation and the user's explicit consent.
An email address is stored only if the user explicitly authorises follow-up contact. Without that permission, the email is not retained.
Data may be hosted and processed through Cloudflare Pages, Cloudflare Turnstile (anti-abuse) and Cloudflare D1 (private feedback storage).
Indicative retention periods for product feedback:
- suspicious: 90 days;
- rejected as spam: 30 days;
- archived: 12 months;
- retained for a product version, for later or approved as a potential testimonial: 24 months.

COM'BOX does not sell users' personal data.
COM'BOX may rely on third-party technical service providers for hosting, analytics, email delivery, Store distribution, payment processing, or security. These providers process data according to their own roles, terms, and privacy policies.
Relevant third-party services may include, depending on how the user accesses Ctrl Deck:
- Microsoft Store, for Store installation, purchase, licensing, updates, and payment operations;
- Cloudflare, for website hosting, security, CDN, R2 storage, technical download routing, Turnstile anti-abuse and D1 private feedback storage;
- Google Analytics, for website analytics and event measurement;
- Mailjet or email providers, for email delivery or support communication.
9. Data retention
Local application data remains on the user's device until the user deletes it, resets the application, uninstalls the application, or removes the relevant configuration files.
Support emails and related messages may be retained for as long as necessary to respond to the request, maintain support history, and comply with applicable obligations.
Technical download and analytics data may be retained for operational, security, statistical, and diagnostic purposes.

Depending on applicable law, users may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, limitation, or objection regarding personal data concerning them.
